Long time no post

Well I've not posted for a while now, not really known what to write sometimes. Lots has been happening in mummy and little man world, but only just recently. We've had a long period of nothing new but since turning 20 months he's suddenly started up with a few new things.

  • Grabbing one's hand and dragging to desired toy/area is a great way to get what you want without saying anything.
  • A few new words emerging and existing ones becoming clearer in their definition. "agig" is mummy milk, illkk is moo cow milk,
  • An attempt at sentences, e.g. "Mummy, Mummy choo choo go"
  • Counting in his own little way with made up sounds for numbers
  • Saying bubbees for poo and doing one in the toilet (just sheer good luck I think there)
  • Seems to have found a girlfriend from playgroup and gave her a hug last week, today she let him ride her Peppa Pig Scooter in the park, to mine and her Grandparent's surprise. As most of us know 2 and half year olds are not big on sharing. He also let her have it back when she asked!!!!! They then chased each other all over the grassy bit until little man fell down the slope and grazed his head!
  • Refining the art of building with mega blocks
  • Developed a fasinaction for "The Lost Glasses" Peppa Pig lift-the-flap book and we now have to read it every night before bedtime.
  • Has a fantastic GRRRR sound with he uses if you say the word grumpy or he sees a lion or tiger or more importantly Mr Dinosaur!
  • Practiced saying"NO!" and throwing strops.
  • Collecting a variety of leaves, berries, sticks, twigs and feathers any thime we go for a walk and depositing them in the pushchair
  • Oh and the ability to stay awake all day and not have a nap. Major mimble on my part here, however he's gone to bed a lot easier. Hmmmm
I'm finding things hard this week, no real idea why. DH been a stressed out moany, grumpy thing which hasn't helped. Motherhood isn't easy and hasn't been much fun, although it also has!

We enjoyed a lovely night out at a wedding on Saturday, followed by a long lie in on Sunday whilst little man stayed at G&Gs. All back to normal now though.

Think I want an exciting new project to focus on, but we've kind of been there on so many fronts, moved house, changed the cars, got married, had a baby, given up work.

We dream of buying a house in Scotland and doing it up - just need to find the money tree, until then we live in a lovely house and having the park nearby is great. Plus we are off to Wales in a few weeks and Scotland a month later, so defienitly need the money tree! No - seriously, sod worrying about all that, it'll be good to get away.
